This website is operated by ModernComms (“we”, “us”, “our”). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your personal data in line with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. For data protection purposes, ModernComms is the data controller.

2. Information we collect

We may collect and process the following information about you:

• Information you give us — for example when you complete our contact form, email us or call us. This may include your name, company, email address, phone number and the contents of your enquiry.
• Information we collect automatically — if you consent to analytics cookies, we collect aggregated usage data about how visitors use our website (such as pages viewed and how visitors arrived). See our Cookie Policy.

3. How we use your information

We use your information to:

• respond to your enquiry and provide the information or services you have requested;
• manage our relationship with you and provide our website, domain, email, phone system and bespoke system services;
• improve our website and services; and
• comply with our legal and regulatory obligations.

4. Legal basis for processing

We rely on the following legal bases: your consent (for example, for analytics cookies and marketing communications); our legitimate interests in responding to enquiries and running our business; the performance of a contract with you; and compliance with a legal obligation.

5. Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with trusted service providers who help us operate our business and website (for example, hosting and analytics providers), all of whom are required to safeguard your data. We may also disclose information where required by law.

6. How long we keep it

We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purposes set out in this policy, or as required to meet legal, accounting or reporting obligations.

7. Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to access, correct, erase, restrict or object to our processing of your personal data, and the right to data portability. Where we rely on consent, you may withdraw it at any time. To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details below.

8. Data security

We take appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss or misuse.
