When the tech lets you down, one call sorts it

The laptop you do quotes on, the phone that runs the business, the printer in the office. When something stops working, ring or WhatsApp someone who already knows your setup, and get back to the job.

  • Help by phone, WhatsApp or email, usually sorted remotely while you carry on
  • Laptops, tablets and phones kept updated, protected and backed up
  • A new starter or apprentice set up with email and the apps they need
  • Office Wi-Fi, printers and broadband problems sorted, on site if it needs it

Customers message when it suits them, often in the evening. The assistant replies straight away in your words, asks what a plumber needs to know, offers real slots from your diary and books one.

  • Asks the questions you would: is it leaking, is there heating, where is it
  • Offers times from your diary, never ones you can't do
  • Sends you a summary with the parts to bring
  • Anything urgent goes straight to you, with safety advice to the customer first

How it works

You carry on working. The assistant does the answering and the booking, and tells you what's happened.

You stay in charge

The assistant works to your rules, not the other way round.

  • In your words. It answers the way you would, from what you tell us about your work and your prices.
  • Only what you allow. It books the slots you open and never agrees a price you haven't set.
  • Urgent comes to you. Emergencies, complaints and anything it isn't sure about go straight to you.
  • Yours to keep. Your number, your domain and your customers' details stay yours.

Questions trades ask

Will customers know it's an assistant?

Yes. It says so when it introduces itself. Most people care more about getting an answer and a time than about who books it.

Can I keep my mobile number?

Yes. Your existing number can be moved across to the business line, or you can keep your mobile private and give customers the business number.

What if it gets something wrong?

Every conversation is written down and sent to you, so you can see exactly what was said, and we tune it to your work as we go.

Can I have it now?

The domain, email, website, business number and IT support, yes. The WhatsApp and phone assistants are being set up with a small group of pilot trades first. Join the pilot and you'll be one of the first to have them.

Do I need all of it?

No. Start with what you need most, the WhatsApp number or the phone line, and add the website or the jobs board later.
